A boutique law firm is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join their Colorado Springs, CO office. This role is fully in-office and requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment.
Responsibilities:
- Case management and file organization for active litigation matters
- Drafting, formatting, and proofreading legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence
- Assisting with discovery, including drafting discovery requests/responses and organizing production
- Managing court deadlines, calendaring, and scheduling depositions, hearings, and client meetings
- Coordinating with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel
- Conducting legal research as needed
- Preparing trial binders and assisting attorneys with trial preparation
- Tracking and billing time worked on client matters
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3+ years of civil litigation experience (state and/or federal)
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines across attorneys
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and litigation support software/e-filing systems
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally with clients and staff
- Team-oriented, coachable, and willing to adapt to firm practices
- Must be able to commute daily to the firm's Colorado Springs, CO office
